Nestled in the heart of Menora, Ruth Landau Harp Early Learning is proud to be Western Australia’s only Jewish early childhood education and care centre. As a not-for-profit service, we offer high-quality care for children aged 6 weeks through to school age, guided by strong Jewish values and traditions. We are more than a childcare centre – we’re a warm, inclusive, and vibrant community of dedicated educators. United in our purpose, we are committed to nurturing young children as they grow, learn, and bloom into kind, capable, and compassionate global citizens.

At the heart of our practice is a deep belief in each child’s potential. Our carefully designed curriculum—woven through thoughtfully planned indoor and outdoor environments—promotes rich learning experiences that support every child’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.

As part of our commitment to wellbeing, we provide a kosher menu created in collaboration with Nutrition Australia. Our diverse and delicious meals meet all recommended daily intakes for dairy, protein, fruits, vegetables, and grains—ensuring every child receives the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

At Ruth Landau Harp Early Learning, we plant the seeds of curiosity, compassion, and lifelong learning—one beautiful day at a time.

Our Rooms

Explorers

For our youngest, 6 weeks to 2 years

We strive to create a positive social and nurturing setting to allow your child to develop their sense of belonging. We  maintain smaller than recommended adult to child ratios, which enables the educators to spend quality time with the children and allows small grouping. This ensures that our experienced educators build a meaningful relationship and establish a sense of security for the child and their families.

Adventurers

For our toddlers, 2 years to 2.5 years

Playing helps our Adventurers further develop motor skills, learn important concepts like colours and numbers, and sharpen skills like problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and more. Our role as educators is to provide opportunities to engage in a multitude of different experiences. Our Educators are always available for support and guidance, enabling our Adventures to master their developmental milestones.

Our Kindy Programs

3 Year old Kindy

Minimum age of 2.5 years to transition to this room

Within our 3 Year Old Kindy Room, we see an increase in attention spans, greater ability to concentrate and a focus on developing the foundations for creative and critical thinking. We adopt more intentional teaching strategies and create opportunities for the introduction of guided numeracy and literacy learning. We seek to provide all children with the opportunity and time to develop their emotional intelligence and love of learning.

Through working together, we have built a positive learning environment, where children feel empowered and confident to discover their identity and to build a sense of agency.

4 Year old Kindy

For the Year they turn 4

Our 4 year old Kindy marks an important milestone in a young child’s journey as a life-long learner. They think of themselves suddenly as one of the ‘big kids’ and get to step into an environment rich in challenge and opportunities to step out of their comfort zone. They are empowered with a new level of independence, with the added responsibilities of being the oldest and the biggest in the centre.

Educational research supports (beyond a doubt) the value of providing open ended learning opportunities that encourage children to test and explore their environment in a ‘hands on way’ that focuses on the ‘journey of discovery’ rather than an end product.
